The official Cheat Engine 7.5 installer is currently no longer a reliable way to install this version of Cheat Engine. The installer initially starts as expected, but fails once it reaches the advertisement stage. At that point, it terminates with a Null Pointer Exception and the installation cannot be completed.
This is particularly unfortunate because Cheat Engine 7.5 remains the primary version I use when developing and testing my Cheat Tables. Although newer releases of Cheat Engine may still be able to load and run them, differences between versions can affect scripts, Lua integrations, custom types, interfaces, and other table functionality. Compatibility with newer versions therefore cannot be guaranteed.
What this means for existing users
Anyone who already has a working standalone installation of Cheat Engine 7.5 can continue using it. Since the official installer may no longer be able to recreate that installation, I strongly recommend keeping a personal backup of your existing files.
If you do not already have a working copy, you will need to obtain a standalone version elsewhere. However, I am not permitted to provide, mirror, or redistribute Cheat Engine 7.5 through this website.

Compatibility with my Cheat Tables
My Cheat Tables will continue to be developed and tested primarily with Cheat Engine 7.5 unless stated otherwise on the respective download page. A table may work perfectly with a newer release, but that should not be treated as guaranteed compatibility.
When reporting an issue with one of my tables, please include the exact Cheat Engine version you are using. This makes it easier to determine whether the problem is caused by the table itself or by a version-specific difference in Cheat Engine.
