The island as its level places it, coloured by the meshes' own shaders; grass and small shrubs are left out. The dots are the level's spawn points: where enemies can appear, where the biome's pots, barrels and crystals go, and where the secret, totem, gauntlet, portal and the players start. Which ones an island uses is decided while you play.
